Tom had followed his father’s footsteps as a builder. After watching and learning from their father, Tom’s own sons have followed his footsteps and joined him as master cabinetmakers. With Tom’s background as a general contractor, and with his artistic vision, enriched by extensive travel, they have been able to take their work beyond just cabinet making. They design and build complete environments, from the custom furniture grade cabinetry to the finished architectural milling and woodwork. The work is then personally delivered, installed and finished with hand-rubbed, Danish oils. Their projects have taken them throughout the continental United States, Puerto Rico, the Hawaiian Islands, and Africa. Several magazine articles have been published on and about them, including articles in “Sporting Classics,” “Safari Magazine,” and “The Wall Street Journal.” Their specialized attention to every detail has brought international acclaim and makes them truly unique in today’s production oriented society.

The primary goal of Julian & Sons is to produce an architectural product that more than satisfies the clients’ aesthetic and functional requirements, utilizing the same time honored skills of the “old world” craftsmen. The hallmark of Julian and Sons is uncompromising excellence which is accomplished through traditional cabinet-making skills, precision woodworking technology and only the highest quality woods. These woods include American Black Walnut, Bubinga, Padauk, Wenge and many other exotic hardwoods from Africa and throughout the world. While Julian & Sons’ services include design and consultation, they are “team players,” eager to work with architectural and design firms. |
